TDM Group: "Bridge" in the industry of supplying rescue equipment.
At the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, TDM Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company brings many suitable and modern products on helicopters for rescue and relief missions, especially on the Mi series versions for the first time in the Vietnamese market.
In recent times, TDM has been a pioneer in cooperating with partners from countries with advanced defense industries in the world such as the US, Canada, Austria, France, etc. to research the market and promote special equipment such as: military parachutes, night vision goggles, high-power speakers, search and rescue lights, winches, armor and bulletproof helmets.

One of the notable equipment in the booth is the HS-29900 helicopter hoist from Breeze-Eastern (USA), recognized by the US Civil Aviation Administration (FFA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The device weighs only 50kg, has a rated load of up to 272kg, a cable length of 88m and a pulling speed of 128m/min.
Along with that, the high-power speakers LSS1320 and LSS1760 of AEM Group (Canada), especially suitable for heavy helicopters, with sound power of 1,320W and 1,760W respectively, can be combined and connected to the NVIS lighting system installed in the cockpit control system.
TDM also introduced the HSL-1600 Orion high-intensity searchlight and the LS-400 landing light from Luminator (USA). In particular, the HSL-1600 Orion has a main 1,600W Xenon short-arc lamp providing a detection range of up to 1.6 - 2km and a variable beam (adjustable focus) ranging from 4° to 16° to optimally support any search and rescue or military mission. Meanwhile, the Luminator LED light has a high illumination time of up to 10,000 hours, a brushless motor and is suitable for temperature and humidity conditions in Vietnam.

In addition, the AN/AVS-9 military night vision goggles from ASU (USA) are considered the most advanced military night vision goggles on the market. Weighing only 535g, the goggles are equipped with many modern components, providing enhanced image clarity and quality, superior lighting performance thanks to the automatic opening and closing function, and are fully compatible with the NVIS lighting system on aircraft. In the military of many countries, night vision goggles are crucial equipment, increasing the combat capability of pilots or soldiers in low light conditions.
All rescue equipment from TDM has a suitable power source, and there are also certified and experienced units for consulting and installation, so as not to change the original structure and aerodynamics of the helicopter lines.
Search and rescue activities are often directly related to emergency safety, are highly risky, and require courage, skills of the person performing them, as well as synchronous equipment. The work in this field focuses on minimizing damage to people and property in emergencies such as fires, accidents, earthquakes, floods, storms, and other emergency situations. Therefore, the effectiveness of search and rescue operations depends largely on the equipment deployed. Meanwhile, the equipment in the functional forces performing search and rescue operations in Vietnam is lacking in quantity, not synchronized, and needs to be upgraded.

According to Mr. Tran Dang Minh, Head of Sales Department of TDM, the products that the company introduces are compatible with helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft currently used in the Vietnam People's Army. He affirmed that search and rescue is one of the humanitarian and highly dual-purpose fields. Therefore, TDM chose this niche market to provide a full line of specialized products to serve the search and rescue work of the Vietnamese authorities, thereby contributing to this noble purpose.
