MARKSMAN WEAPONS FIREARMS SHOOTING TRAINING SYSTEM FOR CARBINES AND RIFLES
FN® Expert is a marksmanship training system for rifles and rifles that provides instruction for both shooters (from beginner to confirmed) and trainers. The simulation system focuses on training basic photographic skills (visualization, breathing, triggering, etc.), building muscle memory, and providing feedback after the shot. It is a wireless system capable of dry-fire and live-fire training on almost any rifle or carbine. The system can be used on the shooter's designated weapon, along with any optics or accessories the shooter already has. It can be used indoors with simulated firing range or outdoors with life-sized targets and real firing distances (up to 300 meters). It measures rifle movement, detects shots, displays the positions of both hits and misses, and analyzes shooter performance. It develops coaching skills by providing objective tools to measure the shooter's performance and visual output for the instructor to identify the problem. The Optical Measurement Unit is an LED (Light Emitting Diode) device whose optical emission is safe to the human eye, in contrast to conventional laser beam systems.
The Optical Unit consists of the Optical Measurement Section (OMP, front) and the User Interface Section (UIP), which includes the main electronic board, rechargeable battery, buttons, buzzer, USB connector and graphic display . The cable can be replaced with the built-in Bluetooth module.
The FN Expert device can be attached directly to the Picatinny rail of a carbine or rifle, on top or on either side of the weapon. Instead of attaching the FN Expert device to the Picatinny rail, most equipment is usually mounted above the weapon barrel. To mount the unit in a case, an optional crate adapter is required.
The silhouette can be used as the target is equipped with a single prism reflector P38, which is positioned at the desired center point of the target. At longer ranges during advanced training, more prisms are needed to maintain accuracy.
The difficulty of actual training is independent of the distance to the target. In this way training for the 300 yard (275 meters) range can be done with the assault rifle, or any other range/target combination, with any available space. In addition, reflective tape targets can be used at short distances.
Depending on the characteristics of a selected exercise, the FN Expert can be used in four configurations that come from two operating modes that can be Dynamic or Static, and whether the FN Expert is standalone or connected. with PC as follows: 1. Tactical marksman stand -alone. 2. Independent basic marksmanship. 3. Tactical marksmanship connection. 4. Basic marksman connection.
Tactical marksmanship training:
In this case, many drivers are progressing from one goal to another. Digital targets can be used alone or in conjunction with a pop-up target system. The training session is usually done independently, without a computer. All photos taken during the process will be stored in the internal memory of the FN Expert device. When required, setup is done in advance using a PC. Shooters can be organized into teams. After the training action, all footage can be downloaded to a PC for review.
The FN Expert dynamic training system consists of the following parts: – FN Expert weapons and equipment.
• Digital target with a single prism reflector.
• Optional: PC, USB cable and FN Expert application program.
• Options: Pop-up target(s), Target Module(s).
Basic marksmanship training:
In this case, the operators are static with simulated or real distances. Basic marksmanship training can be done with a single FN Expert device or in a multi-user system. All FN Expert devices can be connected to a PC(s) or a tablet device. Sessions can also be conducted independently and all results are downloaded after the session.
Typically, training sessions are conducted indoors with small paper targets, or outdoors at physical distance from specific client targets. With suitable tablet+O74ys and targets equipped with several prisms, training can also be held at an out-of-door shooting range. A basic marksmanship training session is conducted using the FN Expert app that works on Windows or Android. In the Basic Marksman Connection mode, the software can be used to start training quickly and easily.
The basic static training system of FN Expert consists of the following parts:
• Carbine or and FN Expert(s) with USB cable(s), if desired.
• Target(s) with prism reflector(s) or reflective tape (classroom).
• PC/tablet with Windows or Android operating system.
• FN Expert application.
Many shooting games
Several FN Expert devices can be connected and used simultaneously. Several shooters can shoot at the same target simultaneously. In addition, all shooters can also shoot at their own targets. An easy solution for training several marksmen at the same time is to use a computer shared with two students.
Can be more flexible with Bluetooth connections.
Network capabilities can be used to monitor training sessions. In this case, all images taken from several computers are sent to a special tracking computer, which can be used for review, storage and printing. For monitoring, all computers are connected to the Internet. The instructor's computer acts as a monitor and all other computers are buttons for individual shooters.
Application software:
When the FN Expert device is connected to a PC/tablet, application software is used to set training options and control, and after analyzing the actions of training sessions.
Basic and tactical marksmanship training sessions can be replayed in a variety of viewing modes. The most common playback is a target view.
The application UI language can be changed by pressing the 'Language' button. The desired language is selected from the list of available language files. Each language file can be edited using any available text file editor, such as the standard Windows Notepad.
Analyze the results
In the basic marksman training analytics model, shooting performance is broken down into four outcome factors: breath, hold, aim, and trigger control, which are the fundamental elements required for successful outcomes. . After each shot, a quick shot classification analysis is displayed on each screen of the shooting game.
Summary
session A summary of the training session can be viewed whenever there is a button on the toolbar. In basic marksmanship, the training mode summary includes the number of shots, the score, the aim time in seconds, the focus point, the deviation in rounds, and the quick classification results. In dynamic training mode, the summary includes only hit/miss and timing information.
The FN Expert equipment is used for shooting training, both indoors and outdoors. A typical training system consists of the FN Expert optics, a computer/tablet with application software and a silhouette target with a target module. Both USB or Bluetooth connections can be used.
In most tactical training situations, the actual firing distance to the target is not known in advance. In Dynamic training mode, Expert allows to record very fast, instinctive, military-style reaction shots with varying target distances. FN Expert automatically scales the target according to the distance, as taking pictures becomes more difficult as the distance increases, just like in real shooting.
However, in most basic/tactical training situations, the setup is pretty stable. In Basic Marksmanship training mode, FN Expert automatically maintains the difficulty of shooting according to the selected target distance/combination regardless of the actual firing distance used in training. In other words, the difficulty of training is independent of the distance to the goal. This way, training for any range/target combination can be done with any (limited) available space.
