Ground Master GM 400 ThalesRaytheonSystems 3D air defense radar
The GM400 in transport configuration has dimensions and loading capacity equivalent to a 20-foot shipping container and weighs less than 10 tons. The Ground Master (GM) family architecture is based on common interfaces and building blocks, the Stacked Beam Concept and Digital Beam Forming, providing complete range and elevation coverage. For ease of maintenance, GM radars can be monitored remotely using a standard protocol underpinned by network solutions. The GM 400 includes an Electronic Measurement feature to deal with the harshest electronic warfare environments including decoy capabilities, while the S-band represents a better choice when considering the restrictions on civil application interference and EW (wider bandwidth). The Ground Master 400 Radar is the first product to combine three revolutionary concepts: 'digital radar', 'e-radar'.
The GM 400 is a 3D long-range radar, providing detection from very high to very low altitudes. It tracks a wide range of targets from highly maneuverable low-flying tactical aircraft to unusual smaller targets such as UAVs, ensuring excellent wide-area aerial imagery. The GM 400 can be set up in one hour. When deployed on-site, the GM 400 radar can be connected to operate as part of a networked air defense organization and can be controlled remotely. The GM 400 can also be combined with various secondary radars to provide air traffic control capabilities and can also integrate Tactical Ballistic Missile detection and tracking capabilities.
The Ground Master 400 radar housing can be mounted on a 6×6 or 8×8 tactical truck or trailer. It can be transported by a C-130 military transport aircraft or a helicopter.
Ground Master GM 400 is a fully digital S-band 3-D mobile long-range air defense radar with high operational availability and highly simplified maintenance. The entire system is adaptable to towers and platforms with radome options. Ground master 400 radar is capable of detecting targets at low, medium and high altitudes with an unprecedented level of readiness and mobility, the radar can detect fighter aircraft at a distance of 450 km (243Nm and name cruise fire or small aircraft at a range of 250 km. has electronic stabilization between -6 and +5 degrees.
