The main circuit of the PRC-2080+ is contained in three modules: Radio frequency (RF) module, digital signal processor (DSP), and power amplifier (PA). Encoding technology and all frequency hopping and encoding functions are handled by the DSP under the control of the host microprocessor. The RFmodule contains a high dynamic range user interface with a DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer) system that achieves fast frequency switching times while maintaining low current consumption. The PRC-2080+ RF device takes into account the hostile electromagnetic environment and achieves excellent ECM resistance and co-opting performance.
